That was the PeaceWeek that was

Another PeaceWeek has come and gone. We’re tired but encouraged by how well it has gone. Starting with a great Launch Event, through the week with various other events and activities, plus assemblies, workshops and classes in around 30 schools across Manchester and Old Trafford, finishing on Friday afternoon with a fantastic Schools Showcase, and on to Friday night and the Lantern Parade, for which the rain stopped - again, and closing on Saturday night with the OSBAs which were a big success.

It was great to be joined this year by Old Trafford, and we hope that is the beginning of PeaceWeek spreading to other boroughs.

A big thankyou to everyone who gave time and effort to help make it all happen and generate lots of positivity about this area and people. Don’t stop now - our hope is that PeaceWeek will inspire many to positive action in the community all year round.

Particular thanks to all our sponsors, and to Whitworth Art Gallery for hosting three events.
