Peace on our Streets

peaceseminarThe Peace on our Streets event took place at Manchester Cathedral on March 1 (ten years to the day since the Memorial Service that was the climax of the first PeaceWeek). Around 60 attendees heard Charles Allen of Victoria Police Australia give a keynote address on Sustainable Solutions to Conflict. Carisma CEO Erinma Bell launched the first edition of a Peace Tool-Kit resource, and there were contributions from the Police and Tony Lloyd, the Police and Crime Commissioner. toolkit_150Photos from the day can be seen here. Video and audio recordings are available on request.

The Peace Tool-Kit is designed to give practical resources, case studies and ideas for others to use and adapt to their own context for peacemaking in local community settings. Copies are available from the Carisma Office for £15 including postage. Further supplements will be added to the tool-kit in the coming months. (Big thanks to Fran Jones for her work compiling and writing the Tool-Kit).

You will find some intriguing points in time in this article but I do not know if I see all of them center to heart. There is some validity but I will take hold opinion until I appear into it further. Fine write-up , thanks and we want far more! Added to FeedBurner as well
