This is an event for all, but particularly young people, coming out of the partnership with Salford University and Greater Manchester Police, through which metal from seized weapons is melted down and turned into useful and positive objects.  [...]

[ March 14, 2009; 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm. ] This year’s OSBAs presentation and dinner will again be at the City of Manchester Stadium. The evening includes drinks on arrival, a 3 course meal and coffee and presentation of the Peace Awards. A number of the Limited Manchester Peace Coins made from recycled gun metal will also be available for purchase.
