  • PeaceWeek Planning meetings - dates for January/February

    Dates for PeaceWeek 2010 Planning Meetings have now been set for January and February. As this is the run-in through to the start of PeaceWeek (March 6-13), we are moving to meeting fortnightly. As always, everyone is welcome to come along and contribute ideas, energy and enthusiasm.

  • An Urban Miracle

    [ March 10, 2009; 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. ] An Urban Miracle is a regular prayer group, primarily for the Gun knife and Gang culture we currently live in.

    A place for faith and non faith-based people to come together and pray, focus and visualise together for the young people, families, friends and community members who have been or are affected. Also community leaders and other outside agencies that are involved within this remit.
    An evening of prayer stations so that you can either light a candle, write an affirmation/words, say a prayer, meditate, have a quiet moment.

  • PeaceWeek Netball Tournament

    [ March 7, 2009; 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. ] International Women’s Peace Week Netball Tournament at the Power House.

    Women don’t need to be in teams can just turn up on the day as teams will be mixed to incorporate working and playing together in Peace.

    • Players must arrive by 1.00 to register.

  • Final PeaceWeek planning meetings

    The final PeaceWeek planning meetings will be as follows:

    Tuesday February 24, 12noon to 1pm.

    Monday March 2, 12noon to 1pm. (Please note: Monday, not Tuesday!) Followed by a meeting for all interested in taking school assemblies during PeaceWeek.

    Tuesday March 31, 12noon to 1pm. PeaceWeek debrief.

    All meetings at the Millennium Powerhouse, Raby Street, Moss Side.


  • The OSBAs

    [ March 14, 2009; 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm. ] This year’s OSBAs presentation and dinner will again be at the City of Manchester Stadium. The evening includes drinks on arrival, a 3 course meal and coffee and presentation of the Peace Awards. A number of the Limited Manchester Peace Coins made from recycled gun metal will also be available for purchase.
