Saturday March 5 “Your call to be a healer and peacemaker” Day workshop with James O’Dea, former Director of Amnesty International. St. Agnes Church, North Reddish. Tickets and info. (Also events with James O’Dea on 4th and 6th). Integration Celebration for International Women’s Week. 12-5pm. St. John’s Centre, St. John’s Road, Old Trafford M16 7GX. Free - lots happening. Sunday March 6 PeaceWeek Shield 5-a-side Football Tournament: 11am-3pm. Competitions for years 6-8, and years 9-11. Team registration/info: 07799763857 or email. Faith in Women Launch Event 11.30am. An exhibition for International Women’s Day running to April 3. St John’s Church, Ayre’s Road, Old Trafford. Free Entry. Monday March 7 Imagine 4–5pm. St Agnes Church, Slade Lane, Longsight, M13 0GN. A space for peace and reflection for all faiths or none with refreshments available. Tuesday March 8 Imagine 4–5pm (details as for 7th). Wednesday March 9 Imagine 4–5pm (details as for 7th). Lantern Making for children 5.30-6.30pm, Kid’s Club, Longsight Church of the Nazarene, Tollgate Close, Longsight M16 9LU. Cost: £1 per child. Praying for Peace 8pm–12pm Coverdale Baptist Church. Thursday March 10 Art Exhibition 9.30am–8pm, Coverdale Baptist Church (details as for 9th). Imagine 4–5pm (details as for 7th). Praying for Peace 8pm–12pm, Coverdale Baptist Church Friday March 11 Imagine 4–5pm (details as for 7th) Family Lantern Parade: 5.30pm from MIllennium Powerhouse, Moss Side and ASDA Longsight Carpark. Meeting behind Longsight Adventure Play 6.30pm for refreshments and entertainment to finish by 7.30pm. Full details can be downloaded here. Saturday March 12 Fun Run 10–12pm starting from Brunswick Church. Run, toddle, push to raise money for local activities in Ardwick. Prizes. Registration and sponsorship forms: 273 1262 or email.
